En Plein Air, a three-part performance series in public space, will take place in Munich between July and August 2018. The performances will be staged in natural urban spaces and parks. Three international artists have been invited to realise this project:
Daniele Maffeis (Italy), Martina Riescher (Germany) and Farkhondeh Shahroudi (Iran).
Their performative works focus on interaction with passers-by, who are invited to participate and interact. Giving the audience the opportunity to intervene in and actively shape the events is a fundamental element of their performance practice. Current social issues are reflected in the works. The questions that the artists and the audience deal with are about freedom and restriction, about play and restriction. All the works are based on one central question:
Where is the border between utopia and reality in today’s Europe?
